There were more 'oohs' and 'aahs' than a firework display at Saturday night's private viewing for Walford Mill Crafts 'Christmas at the Mill' exhibition.
Amidst the mulled wine and mince pies, the chatter of excited shoppers led to a wonderful, (early!) festive atmosphere.
If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I am thrilled to be a resident artist with a top floor studio in this beautiful 16th century water mill in Wimborne Minster, Dorset.
I feel so blessed!
Over 30 local artists and makers are featured in this stunning exhibition, including myself and fellow resident makers at the Mill.
Beautiful ceramics, textiles, jewellery and contemporary abstract paintings are available to buy, making fantastic Christmas gifts for friends and loved ones. This is a really special place, you can even enjoy some delicious food or a coffee in the Millstream Bistro.
Come and visit us from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10 - 5pm and Sundays 11 - 4pm until the 29th December, 2019.

If you are a fellow local artist or maker, the Mill has opportunities for you to hold your own group or solo exhibitions, hire the education room for workshops or book your own short term pop up studio for a week. Do find out more if you are interested.
If you would like to contribute to the history of the Mill, perhaps you could spare a few hours to volunteer for this worthwhile charity. The Walford Mill Education Trust and the team of makers work tirelessly to keep the Mill alive and kicking, so any help would be warmly welcomed!
